Whenever I talk with anyone about their cell phones, they all usually come to the same consensus – they love their phones, but their hate their cell phone plan. Unfortunately I hear this all too often. Phone companies in America are absolutely notorious about ripping people off at whatever chance they can get, and when they lock you into a plan which may give you a certain amount of minutes for a predetermined price, they are setting you up for fees and penalties galore if you ever exceed you allotted amount of time. This means that if you do a lot of traveling domestically or internationally, you may want to consider a cell phone plan from a company that offers GSM instead of a competing broadcasting method.

Some things that are popular right now include text messaging, online functionality and the ability to share pictures or movies with others through your phone. Of course, each of these add-ons will cost you a little extra, so make sure you are actually going to use the things you sign up for, or else you will simply be throwing your money away month after month.
